SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20200920-0FB15-2147369684. Severity: Injury, No First Aid or Medical Attention Received. Product: Perfine Perfine V20 10500mAh Battery BL-44E1F (completely destroyed) (High capacity replacement battery for LG V20 (cellphone) Perfine V20 10500mAh Battery BL-44E1F Replacement with Protective Black TPU Case for LG V20 H990 H918 VS995 Li-Polymer Extended Battery Cover). Incident: While sleeping with my phone on the bookshelf by my head, it erupted violently into flame, resembling a road flare. It caught a number of things on fire, as I struggled to put it out, nearly reaching a point where I had to flee the room as it became very toxic in the room. Amazon removed the listing, but left a duplicate listing intact of the exact same product by the same vendor to continue selling the product, which did not contain my cautionary review to warn customers of my experience, or the complete jerking around and dismissal of all responsibility that I encountered from Perfine and, ultimately, Amazon.
