Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20201019-15277-2147369140. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Kenmore 790.3690.3900. Source model text: 790.48853900. Incident: My wife and I baked dinner in our Kenmore Microwave/Wall Oven Combination, model #790.48853900. Once dinner was done my wife turned off the oven, it appeared that the oven was off (all "bake" lights were off, the clock was displayed, etc.) but the oven continued to heat up. The oven continued to heat up and we were unable to turn the oven off until we eventually tripped the breaker. I contacted Sears with my complaint and this is a known problem! How in the world is an oven that continually heats up, despite displaying that it is "off" AND without any way to shut it off besides tripping the house breaker, not a colossal fire hazard? This is outrageous, particularly since Sears knows about the problem and there have been recalls on similar Sears models that have the same issue!
