Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20210511-DC698-2147364195. Severity: Injury, Seen by Medical Professional. Product: Says Summer My Size Potty Don't see that info (Summer My size Potty with transitional ring; white; toddler size). Incident: I bought a realistic potty toilet for my 14 month old grandson. His 5 year old brother decided to check it out and got his fingers stuck in the holes in the under part of the potty. Oil, soap etc wouldn't free his fingers. They started turning blue/purple so 911 was called. The fire dept and ambulance responded. The plastic was so strong that the fire personnel had to use wire cutters to free him and it still took some time. The EMT's checked him out and no broken bones but he needs to switch between ice and warmth including squeezing a ball while he's in the bath as well as [REDACTED] for the pain. We are no reason for these holes so the product should be modified (cuz kids do the weirdest unexpected stuff or it needs to be removed from the market. No parent thinks their child will do stuff like this!
