Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20210526-517E9-2147363901. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Apple Apple 13-inch macbook pro 2017 (2017 Apple laptop -Macbook Pro model A1706). Incident: I have a 2017 MacBook pro. It is only 3.5 years old. The battery has swollen to the point I can no longer close it the computer lid. Apple says it is not a concern but I believe it has the potential to start a fire if it explodes or damage other interbal computers rendering the computer inopertable.
