Incident narrative
SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20210619-8D7F7-2147363421. Severity: Unspecified. Product: Frigidaire FFCD2413US1A (Frigidaire 24'' Built-In Dishwasher FFCD2413US1A, stainless steel cover on door, Width: 24", Depth: 25", Minimum Height: 33 1/2", Maximum Height: 35"; I do not have a UPC code, date manufactured, or manufacturer date code.). So I went to the electrical panel in the basement and saw that the breakers for the dishwasher's outlet needed to be flipped back, so I did that. Then I came back up and the dishwasher had turned back on, all of its lights on the panel were on, there was another thunk, and it started smoking. I opened the door right away and black smoke came out of the small narrow horizontal opening along the top of the inside of the door. I videotaped it, but it is very hard to see the smoke on the video. (I tried to upload the video but it said it was too large even though it was 81 MB [under 100 MB limit]). There was also a very strong smell of burnt electronics that started at the same time as
