Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20210703-6EF65-2147363150. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Hoover UH70820 WindTunnel 2 Rewind Bagless Upright. Source model text: U5509-900 Elite Rewind Deluxe Bagless Uprig. Incident: Hoover U5509-900 Elite Rewind Deluxe Bagless Upright Vacuum. This is my second such incidence. The cord rewind mechanism is stripping/slicing into the power cord. This is a potential electrical fire hazard. Had I not noticed it could have potentially shorted out, possibly causing risk of electric shock to myself or my wife. While this was purchased some time back (my wife is disabled and we need an upstairs AND downstairs vacuum) we thought these models were helpful with her limitations. I am disappointed in the introduction of a hazard yet again.
