Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20210920-AA775-2147360457. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Surface Pro Pro 4. Source model text: Surface Pro 4. Incident: My Microsoft surface Pro4 started showing yellow discoloration on the screen over time. One day while using it, I heard a "ping" and the screen detached from the body of the device. Online research suggests this happened as a result of a swollen battery, which poses a fire/chemical danger and not repairable. I have not used the device since then.
