Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20220210-FA8EC-2147357624. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: LG WT1501CW. Incident: I was using LG washing machine model WT1501CW to wash a load of clothes and the machine exploded. The machine was on its final spin with less then 20 minutes left as I had just checked on it. The drum broke loose from the motor and caused it to shake violently causing the lid to come apart, the sides to break away, inside parts to be thrown out of the machine, and wall damage to my home as it banged into the wall. Thankfully, nobody was in the room when it did this so no one was hurt, but had I still been in the room with it I would have been hurt.
