Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20220810-7D01A-2147354471. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Samsung RF263BEAESG. Source model text: RF263BEAESG/AA. Incident: Samsung Refrigerator defect with the ice maker and leaking water which caused mold in my refrigerator. I had to have it hauled per my Kidney Transplant doctor. Since I am immune compromised due to the Kidney Transplant and the Transplant Anti-rejection Medications that I have to take, the refrigerator could not remain in my home as it could cause me severe illness or death. Samsung sending a technician to service my refrigerator would have been useless because they would not be able to eliminate all the mold. Samsung told me that because one of their technicians did not come out to check it out to determine if it needs to be replaced, they could not compensate me. Very disappointing also because I found out that a lot of people have had a problem with their Samsung's French Door refrigerators and there is a Class Action Lawsuit requesting a recall.
