Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20220811-62EC1-2147354461. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Bosch SMZPCJB1UC. Incident: A fire burned within the junction box (model SMZPCJB1UC) for my Bosch 500-series dishwasher. There are multiple reports of this happening both on this website and in forums such as this: [REDACTED]. Bosch has claimed this is due to an installation issue, but it appears the frequent occurrence of these fires means either there is a design flaw in the box itself that causes the fires to start and/or they are designed in a way to make "proper" installation very difficult.
