Incident narrative
SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20220919-4B428-2147353774. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Samsung RF263BEAESG. Source model text: RF263BEAESG/AA. Incident: My freezer of my fridge started going out for no reason back in June and by August stopped working altogether. Wasn't getting cold even though the fridge portion was just right. Issue was we had a lot of food in the freezer we had to use or it would ruin. The Appliance repair man that came to check the freezer said my control panel wasn't working right keeping the temp at rhe correct levels that the board in the back of the fridge went out. He ordered a new board and once installed the twin fans came on. That night the power went out from 3am to 12pm so I wasn't able to tell if the board was fixing the issue or not. He came back later and checked aeound and even though both fans were running at the time of board installation, the freezer now longer was again. So he ordered a new fan, week later came and installed it, the fan kicks on like its suppose to and later checked the temp and it never changed. The tech stated that the freezer is defective. I had bought it in 2017 brand new but due to it sitting in the factory, we found out this particular model has been manufactured 2014 but would desist after all the parts were used for this model. Freezer still doesn't work after paying close to $300.
