Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20220924-11A1A-2147353676. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Google google pixel. Source model text: 5a. Incident: So I'm on my porch two Sundays ago scrolling [REDACTED] on my phone (as one will do) and my phone (Pixel 5a, 6 months old) starts to get hot. I mean hot. Then it starts to smoke. Then it is engulfed in blue/white THICK smoke! I tossed it on a chair without thinking and it caught on fire and melted the chair and a pillow. I smacked it off of the chair and it went on to the pool deck where it EXPLODED.
