SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20221003-A177A-3925790. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Apple Inc. iPhone. Incident: Shortly after I plugged the lightning connector into the iPhone, fire appeared from the cable a short distance from the lightning connector. The cable began to heat up and burn. Smoke also began to appear. The cable was an [[REDACTED] to Lightning Cable. There were no injuries.
