Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20221220-E1446-2147351953. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Blomberg BGRP34520SS (Stand alone Gas Range/oven). Incident: Beginning in February of 2022 My Blomberg gas range began malfunctioning (model#BGRP34520SS). The gas oven kept firing gas every minute or so even though it had reached the desired temperature. Blomberg sent a replacement part that had the same serial number as the current part but it looked different. When installed, it caused my gas burners and my oven to turn themselves on and light at full blast while the oven was technically off. This being an obvious hazard to blow up my house and myself, we disconnected the part and the range. Blomberg indicates that they can keep sending the same part eventhough it is obviously different from my current one. The refuse to assist the technician further. This oven was manufactured in 2018. I can get no response from the Blomberg support website and am left with a fire hazard.
