Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20230127-14C4C-2147351131. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Bosch SHP65T. Source model text: SHP65T55UC/02. Incident: While removing dishes from my Bosch dishwater I felt like a razor had cut through my thump? I was surprised when I looked down at the "posts" that hold the dished in place to find first that the rubber/plastic that coats these posts had melted and rusted razors protrudes out shooting straight up. I have included several pictures, though the may be hard to see. These are very scary to say the least. I paid a lot of money because I always trusted Bosc products. Even if there were some technical or industrial reason for these razors, It is deeply disturbing to see these and know the could easily inflict great pain if you din't know they were there. This dishwasher is in my kitchen. It is used daily. First why would the coating melt and second why are there razor blades installed?
