Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20230307-40B52-2147348943. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Vornado AVH10. Source model text: VH10. Incident: Vornado VH10 heater tipover switch stick, allowing the heater to remain on even after it tips on its face. Vornado sent us a replacement fan, and it has the exact same problem. As a qualified Electrical Engineer, I disassembled the device and determined that the microswitch becomes sticky and either won't turn on (fan fails to heat) or else won't turn off when the fan is tipped over. Both items exhibited this exact same behavior.
