Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20230620-0D95A-2147346902. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Mr. Coffee 14-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker BVMC-PC14BL2. Incident: About a month ago I had purchased a Mr. Coffee coffee machine and I noticed last night that it was on. There were no lights indicating that it was on it . If the product was working properly there should have a light on. Also, it was set on a timer so it shouldn't have been on. The machine was extremely hot and was steaming. It hd no water in it and like I said there was no indication that the machine was on. The lights were not working. After looking into reviews, I noticed that I am not the only one with this complaint. I feel like this product is a fire hazard. I was not home for most of the day so I don't know how long the coffee pot was on.. Also, it's suppose to shut off automatically after 2 hours.
