Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20230911-7EB11-2147345275. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Samsung NE59J7630SS. Incident: We were preheating our oven, a Samsung Model NE59J7630SS, when we heard a pop from the stove and then flames came out the back top of stove. We exited the house and called 911. The fire was out by the time they arrived, as the breaker shut off and there was nothing near the stove to act as fuel and carry the flames to our walls and cabinets. Our house and we are safe; however we have a big mess to clean up with smoke, ash, and electrical fire smell. The control panel is melted and I found this website describing exactly what occured, which has happened to many others:[REDACTED]. I do not see that a recall has been issued.
