Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20230928-F1075-2147344977. Matched catalog product: CableMod 12VHPWR 180 Degree Angled Adapter Variant B. Incident: There is a company called CableMod. They mae custom cables for consumer power supply's. They have am angled adaptor that they started selling a few months ago. The issue is the adaptor is failing and melting inside consumer computers. I have documentation of this happening almost everyday. CableMod refuses to do a recall. They made a revised adapter V1.1 that they claim is safer but the original but still saying the original never has a problem. It's not just a fire risk. Some of the people that purchased the adaptor will never know am issue happened because they only sent an email out to people that bought directly from their site. Here are some of the cases. There are much more than this.
