Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20231025-B02D6-2147344410. Matched catalog product: Samsung RF28JBEDBSR. Incident: I purchased a Samsung 4-Door French Door Refrigerator on July 2nd, 2017. Within about a year, we started having issues with the ice maker freezing up and stopped operation. In addition to the warranty that came with the fridge, we purchased an extended 5-year warranty. As of today, we have made 5 warranty calls, and had the ice maker replaced 3 times. We even called Samsung directly to have them come out and assess the issues with the fridge. They only did an assessment and general de-icing, but did not replace any parts. We were then notified that they will not replace the defective icemaker and fridge. They only offer to give a 50% discount on the purchase of a new fridge. Really?
