Incident: Our refrigerator appears to have some design flaws. First, the unit leaks water inside on the freezer side that freezes in the bottom of the freezer. Every few months I have to take out the shelving and break up the ice. Second, the fridge temperature seems to fluctuate. There are external controls to set the temperature and we keep it set at 38-40 degrees, however when we take food out of the fridge it seems warm to touch. So upon putting a thermometer in the fridge we found temperatures in the range of 45-50 degrees. This spoiled the food and put our health at risk. We wonder if the several bouts of gastrointestinal problems we had were related to the improper storage of our food. Troubleshooting steps in the manual did not help. Samsung would not resolve the problem because they said we are out of warranty. They offered to send a third party technician, but would not pay for it, and we would not either. The refrigerator was about 5 years old when we decided to replace it.
