Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20240116-D7D57-2147342721. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Samsung NE58K9430. Incident: We have a 2018 Samsung Electric Range model NE58K9430. There is a fire hazard with the burner knobs. If the knob is barely touched the burner turns on. This is a dangerous fire hazard. If a piece of paper or cloth touches the burner it could ignite. You don't know that the burner is on because you didn't turn it on. This is an ongoing problem and has been happening for quite a while. I finally sat down and reported it.
