Incident: A mother placed her 1-year-old child in a supine position in a crib, with a fleece blanket over her legs, and gave her a book to look at before falling asleep on 08/292023. At approximately 1615 on 08/29/2023, the mother went to get the children up from their nap. She came into the bedroom, turned toward the decedent's crib, and found the decedent seated in the corner of the crib with her legs out in front of her, partially suspended, with the cord from a wall-mounted Motorola COMFORT75BU baby monitor looped around her neck and her head positioned with her chin against her chest. A mild to moderate ligature furrow was noted around the neck.
