SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20240302-96E14-2147340639. Matched catalog product: Ecowell ETH150. Incident: I was using an Ecowell ETH150 space heater on a bare concrete floor when I accidentally bumped it. I'd probably done this a few times before, but the final time I heard an electrical arcing noise and smelled burning plastic. I unplugged the heater. I was curious what had happened so I opened it to inspect it and found that the tip-over safety switch had completely melted and the leads had melted into the plastic plate the switch was mounted on.
