Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20240318-B3F5E-2147340293. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: LG LSEL6335F. Incident: Was baking some potatoes in the oven and took them out, and when transferring them to a container I brushed against the front controls on the stove and somehow was able to push the knob in enough that it could be turned. We didn't notice this and the burner was on and burned through our silicone mat that we had on top of the glass top, and onto a wicker trivet we had between the aluminum cooking pan and the silicone mat. We were taking the potatoes to a family lunch and were about to leave. It could have been disastrous. It should not be that easy to push in and turn on a control knob. I had to have just barely brushed it or I would have realized it. We definitely feel this is a safety issue with this stove. It is an LG brand, model LSEL6335F.
