Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20240515-D926C-2147339210. Matched catalog product: Breville Breville Mini Smart Oven Model BOV450XL. Source model text: BHM800SIL. Incident: The Breville hand mixer beaters have silicone falling off into food. The company has already replaced the beaters once (in July 2023), and the same thing happened again (in March 2024) with the new set. This is with fairly light use (soft batters, mixer used maybe 1-2 times per month). No injuries occurred, but clearly silicone should not be ingested. Also, the silicone pieces are large enough they could be a potential choking hazard for a young child.
