Incident narrative
SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20240621-40C53-2147338475. Severity: No Incident, No Injury. Product: Samsung Class Crystal UHD AU800 UN65AU8000FXZA (65" Class Crystal UHD AU800 (2021) UN65AU8000FXZA QLED S). Incident: I decided to file this complaint due to a persistent issue with a Samsung TV model UN65AU800FXZA, which I previously reported in Report No. [REDACTED] published on SaferProducts.gov. Following my initial report, Samsung sent technicians to remove and repair the TV. However, after the repair, the TV still has serious problems: Overheating: The TV continues to overheat excessively, which could potentially cause a fire. Partially lit screen: Even when the TV is turned off, part of the screen remains lit, causing continuous electricity consumption and posing an additional risk to the user. Despite contacting Samsung again, the company refuses to take responsibility, even though they performed the repair. Instead, they want to charge for another inspection of the device. My primary concern is to prevent anyone from being injured or losing their life due to the manufacturer's negligence. I believe this situation is serious and requires the CPSC's intervention to ensure consumer safety. Thank you for your attention and I hope the necessary measures will be taken to address this issue.
