Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20240707-365FA-2147338149. Severity: No Incident, No Injury. Product: LG DLEX4000W (White LG ThinQ Sensor Dryer with steam cycles). Incident: I was using the steam function on my LG dryer and it started leaking on the floor. After switching the hose, which I thought was the problem, it was still leaking. After taking a part off the back, I saw that the hose inside the dryer that runs up the unit was pressed against a hot element, causing the hose to split making water leak down the back of the unit, causing water to pour down along electrical cords in the back of the dryer. There is also a significant build up of hard water deposits on the back as well as the cracked hose.
