Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20240910-7C233-2147336621. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Frigidaire Electric Range Model FFEF3054TS. Source model text: FFEF3054TSR. Incident: The glass panel randomly exploded out of the front of my Frigidaire Oven. The oven was not hot, although it was moments after my husband began preheating it. My husband and I spent an hour cleaning tiny shards of glass out of our kitchen. Grateful that my children were not near the oven when the glass exploded out. It was not a crack and fall it truly exploded with a radius of about 3 feet. Once I contacted Frigidaire they informed me that the product warranty was expired. I only owned this oven for 2.5 years. They suggested that I repurchase the exploding glass panel and continue to use their product. After searching this issue online I found that many other customers (over 100) experienced the same thing. [REDACTED]
