Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20240916-2CA6A-2147336501. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Samsung NE63T8511SS. Source model text: Model NE63T8511SS. Incident: After cooking I left an aluminum baking sheet on top of the glass stove top, for food to cool off, then I went outside to do some yard work. It seems that the large burner turned and activated through accidental contact. While in the backyard I started smelling something burning, I ran inside the house and it was full of smoke with flames that almost reached the kitchen ceiling, I started screaming and the guy that was working on the front of my home came inside and helped me out. The aluminum was melted on top of the glass and it completely cracked the glass top. It was the most dangerous and scary situation that I have been in. It took me weeks to get the entire house cleaned up to remove black smoke from walls, ceiling and to remove the burning smell from furniture , clothing etc.
