Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20240920-D18DE-4915624. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: GE JES1145SH1SS (Microwave oven). Incident: Taken from info center I am writing to you because we have always trusted GE and have bought all GE Appliances for many years, including refrigerators, air conditioners and microwave ovens. I'm enclosing some of the pictures from the fire inside this product. Thank you for your attention to this matter. (10/11/2024) Please Be Advised, we have notified the President of GE Appliances about this incident. His office called me and they were very concerned about why this microwave went on fire. We paid $92.00 for a new microwave. GE reimbursed us in the amoung of $60.00 (Parti
