SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20241024-FD0C7-2147335768. Severity: No Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Generac Generator G0070431; Transfer switch. Source model text: 6KW/999 GUARD-NO T/SW AL. Incident: August 26 2024 our 3 mo old $25,000 Generac generator started on fire. We were alerted by neighbors, fire and rescue put the fire out. The generator was on fire as well as the surrounding mulch/landscaping. After numerous attempts to reach Generac we still have not been contacted by the company to understand the cause of the fire. No replacement generator has been installed.
