Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20241118-95399-2147335194. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: JENN AIR JDRP436HM (JENN AIR 36" NOIR GAS/CONVECTION DUAL FUEL RANGE - MODEL #JDRP436HM). It was said that Jenn Air product engineers/managers routinely ignored known safety hazards that they refuse to address safety issues despite known fire and gas hazards. Using plastic parts against metal stems is inherently defective. An oven not closing also constitutes a hazard. This range has defects that pose serious safety hazards and should be recalled.
