Incident: I bought my mom a COMMERCIAL CHEF brand Microwave oven, she used it once and it caused the food to CATCH FIRE, filling her apartment with smoke and SETTING OFF THE SMOKE ALARMS IN HER APARTMENT BUILDING. I thought she must have made a mistake, so I tried to heat a piece of pizza and while I watched, in 30 seconds, it set fire to the middle of the piece of pizza and filled the apartment with smoke. I contacted the Amazon seller: no response. Contacted Amazon, have not heard back. I had mistakenly thought it was a [REDACTED] Brand because the Commercial Chef Logo has a man in a chef hat very similar to the [REDACTED] Logo and the name is almost the same. I thought it would be easy for my mom because it just has two nobs, and no digital controls. Had it worked and was safe to use, I would not be filing a report.
