SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20241123-79093-2147335070. Matched catalog product: Samsung Model Number- RF18HFENBSR US. Source model text: NE59J7630SG/AA. Incident: I was preheating my Samsung slide in oven yesterday (manufacturer code NE59J7630SG/AA) when it suddenly starting popping loudly followed by an eruption of flame behind the back control panels. Luckily I was nearby and the fire hadn't spread too far before I was able to turn the oven off. The fire went out on it's own, but the red "Hot Surface" indicator light remained on (while surface was not hot) until I pulled the oven out and unplugged it from the outlet.
