Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20241201-777C9-2147334923. Severity: Injury, No First Aid or Medical Attention Received. Matched catalog product: LG LREL6323S. Source model text: Model number is LREL6323S. Incident: Found a black splatter on the bottom of our oven 16th of November after a self cleaning cycle. Discovered that pieces of porcelain/paint from the inside the oven were coming from the fan, blowing out and melting on the bottom of the oven. Most concerning is that this has been going on for longer since it was not realized at the previous time of cleaning the oven 7-8 months ago. The concern is that the fan has been blowing small particles of porcelain/paint onto our food over the last 7-12 m since there clearly is paint/porcelain that melted on the bottom. I can used my finger nails to scrape up small specks of the blue from the bottom. I believe we have likely been eating porcelain/paint dust in our food over the last 7 - 12 m. This can not be healthy for our bodies, may lead to more stomach problems which I have had. And my husband had a horrible headache the day after using the self cleaning since porcelain/paint was melting and could be smelled in the air. May even find out that this leads to a cancer in the future.
