Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20241208-B5F4B-2147334756. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Toshiba ML2-TC10SAIT-SS. Source model text: ML2-EC10SA (BS). Incident: My 8 in 1 Toshiba turns on by itself when not in use and adds minutes by itself while in use. This happened infrequently at first then more frequently. The last time it happened I had just used the convection oven and it still had a metal rack in it when it turned itself on. Fortunately I was in the next room and heard it. When I got to the kitchen it was sparking with flames. So grateful I was home. Otherwise my home may have been burnt down.
