Incident: I live in San Bernardino CA. The most damaging wild fires in the history of State of Califonia broke and lasted for months. Fire prevention has been top priority. Few days ago, we have a black out . The microwave was out, I reached out to the kitchen to the gas stove to heat up some breakfast. As soon as I turned the Stove on I smilled a very strong oder filed up the little kitchen of our apartment. I turned the stove off and opened the window to vent the gas out. The stove igniter was elecric, it would not oporate because the power was out. Few feet on the living room were a couple candels burning, but a sure fire disaster was diverted. The stove was not equiped with a flame sensor to stop the flow of gas when it does not ignite. The stove was only one year old, it is LG brand bought from the Home Depot. I called the Home Depot spoke to a manager and asistance manager, they would not understand the urgency of the situation.
