Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20250403-2667A-2147332131. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Samsung NE59N6630S. Source model text: NE59N6630SS. Incident: I am using a Samsung slide in electric range (NE59N6630SS) with a rear control panel. The product is five years old (purchased July 2019). The control touch panel for the oven has started to activate on its own. Random oven features simply start turning on - could the broiler, the self cleaning feature, the warmer, or any other feature. When this happens, I also am unable to turn it off and the buttons are completely unresponsive to me as if I am locked out. This seems to mostly happen when Im cooking, and the only way to stop it is to turn off the breaker. Obviously, I am concerned that this could also happen when Im sleeping or away from home, and could easily start a fire.
