Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20250525-9F5EF-2147331082. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Frigidaire Electric Range Model FFEF3054TS. Source model text: FFEF3054TSN. Incident: The front glass on my Frigidaire oven exploded and shattered all over my kitchen. No one was injured by the exploding glass, as no one was in the kitchen at the time. The oven was set to preheat and had not yet reached 350 degrees. Had someone been in the kitchen at the time, there could have been injuries to the person's legs. I had been standing in front of the oven just 2 minutes before, had I not stepped away, the glass would have impacted me. A small child, like my 6 year old, could have been more severely injured had she been in there at the time.
