Incident: I am contacting you to formally report a serious safety incident involving a Samsung top-load washing machine that appears to have caused a house fire. On May 8, 2025, a fire began at my brothers home in Ione, California, originating in or around the Samsung washer. The home sustained severe structural damage and total loss of personal belongings. The washing machine has been photographed and partially documented. A private fire investigator has been assigned by the lenders insurance carrier, and we understand they may have already notified you as part of their process. As a member of the affected family and acting on behalf of the property owner, I am opening this report independently of the insurer.
