Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20250616-4AF6E-2147330438. Severity: No Incident, No Injury. Product: HP 16-ad002epx (HP Laptop Env2 fa0047nr). Incident: Computer has burnt out 4 different power supplies. Manufacturer states there's nothing wrong with the computer, I just got it back to just destroy another charger. Manufacturer also will not reach out to you to put a report in, despite my request. Nor do they want to take ownership of the problem at hand. Product is still within warranty. UPDATED ON 6/18/2025: [The primary concern is that the power supply is overheating to the point of failure, where it appears the internal fuse is being triggered or blown. This is not typical behavior and strongly suggests a current overdraw, likely originating from the laptops USB port or motherboard circuitry. Whats especially alarming is the risk this posesnot just to the power supply, but to the safety and integrity of the entire system. Repeated overheating and electrical strain could lead to permanent hardware damage, electrical shorting, or even pose a fire hazard if left unaddressed. This issue demands immediate attention, as continued use in this state may result in catastrophic failure of the motherboard, battery, or other critical components. All of which HP has openly failed to address, even when they had the laptop in for inspection. Despite the multiple failed power supplies.]
