The following is a detailed incident report outlining the fire, resulting emergency room visit, property damage, and emotional distress caused by this failure. On July 7, 2025, at approximately 8:45 PM MT, I was at my desk in my bedroom with my laptop charging beside me on my bed. Suddenly, the laptop began to hiss and pop. As I turned my head, smoke started pouring from the device. Within seconds, the computer violently burst into flames. I acted on instinct, trying to prevent the flames from spreading through my apartment. I tossed the laptop on the ground just a few feet away from my apartment. I was shocked didnt suffer physical burns. When I re-entered, my apartment was filled with thick smoke and the stench of burning plastic. My quilt was burned, and my backpack, which had been sitting on my bed, had a burn hole in the back. I used a wet washcloth
