Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20250726-18E35-2147329226. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Frigidaire EFMIS129-BLACK. Source model text: Model EFMIS129-B. Incident: Our Frigidaire mini fridge started to smell like burning plastic while running with just a couple of small items in it on a table. The smell overtook the room and we traced it to the mini fridge, so immediately turned it off and have not used it since. Today I received notification from Amazon that it had been recalled, but when I went to apply for the refund, I was told my model number is not affected by the recall. I believe that it should be recalled, because if we had been sleeping or not home when we noticed the burning smell from the mini fridge it could have ended up much worse.
