Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20250731-DB93F-2147329013. Severity: Injury, First Aid Received by Non-Medical Professional. Matched catalog product: Samsung Model # RF28HMEDBSR. Source model text: Rf28hmedbsr. Incident: It started with my ice maker freezing over a few times and I had to defrost with hair dryer and the freezer itself in defrost mode a few years after I bought new in November 2016. Eventually the ice maker stopped working completely and didnt use it anymore. Later the coils froze over in the fridge side and it wasnt cooling properly so food went bad and door panel said 34 degrees Fahrenheit and fan sounded loud and was hitting something. I had to open back panel defrost ice for hours and I also used hair dryer to finish quicker. That happened around 2022. Had to do it again last week when someone at my house got sick from eating some bad dairy product.
