Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20250813-6014D-2147328706. Severity: Injury, Seen by Medical Professional. Matched catalog product: Ninja OL601 Ninja Foodi Smart XL. Source model text: MC1001Q. Incident: I cooked a soup recipe with my Ninja FOODI POSSIBLECOOKER PRO MODEL MC1001Q Series 15. after it turned off I opened the lid and the steam that escaped burned my forearm severely! I have a 2nd degree burn and have seen my doctor. I have cooked all my life, used many " slow cookers" and this one is TOO HOT. I was astounded when it happened. I am a careful, mindful cook. This machine is a real concern to me now. I used it on slow cooker mode.
