Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20250902-BE79D-2147328151. Severity: Injury, Seen by Medical Professional. Product: Samsung Samsung Galaxy S10FE 5G tablet and tablet cover. Incident: Product: Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE 5G with official Samsung magnetic keyboard case (purchased through T-Mobile, a few months before incident). Date of Incident: Saturday, July 19, 2025 (evening). Incident Description: Tablet detached unexpectedly from official Samsung magnetic keyboard case. Device struck me in the mouth with significant force. Resulting injuries: Broken/chipped front tooth (permanent damage). Cuts to inside of upper and lower lips. Headache and radiating pain through nasal bone and into upper molars, lasting several weeks. Additional damage: Privacy screen protector cracked badly (tablet glass intact, but protector now unusable and must be replaced). Safety Concern: This was not due to misuse device was in normal use. Case failure resulted in lasting personal injury and secondary product damage. I previously used a Samsung Galaxy S4 in its official case for 8 years without any detachment. The Tab S10 FE 5G official case appears to have a design flaw that poses a hazard.
