Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20250915-CBC19-2147327816. Severity: Injury, No First Aid or Medical Attention Received. Matched catalog product: Frigidaire Electric Range Model FFEF3054TS. Source model text: FFEF3054TSM. Incident: On 9/11/2025 at [REDACTED]pm my Frigidaire oven model FFEF3054TSM Serial number VF03609894 suddenly shattered the outer door glass while baking at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. The kitchen floor was covered in sheets and jagged pebbles of broken glass that continued to crackle and rain down for hours after the initial shattering of glass. There was no previous known damage or cracks to the glass. There was no one touching the oven at the time. The inner door glass remained intact. I shut off the oven immediately and replaced the outer glass two days later. Since there was no one present near the oven when it shattered there were no direct injuries but there would have been cuts from broken glass if anyone had been standing near it when it happened. I did get cut while cleaning up the glass despite being very careful.
