Incident: [REDACTED] Date: 07/15/2025 U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission 4330 East West Highway Bethesda, MD 20814 Subject: Urgent Product Safety Complaint Exploding Rival Electric Kettle (Purchased at Walmart) Dear Consumer Product Safety Commission, I am writing to report a serious safety incident involving a Rival brand electric kettle, purchased at Walmart, which exploded without warning in my kitchen on [Insert Date of Incident]. The explosion caused significant smoke damage, leaving my home uninhabitable and myself temporarily homeless. The kettle was being used properly at the time of the incident. Suddenly, it burst apart violently, filling the area with smoke and damaging nearby property.
