Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20250923-9B61C-2147327600. Severity: Injury, No First Aid or Medical Attention Received. Product: Samsung Galaxy S25+ (Samsung Galaxy S25+ (512GB, BLUEBLACK, Unlocked)). Incident: I am writing to formally report a serious safety incident involving my Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus smartphone, which occurred around 2:30 a.m. on September 10, 2025, at my residence in [REDACTED]. While the device was charging at night beside me, it exploded suddenly, causing a fire, property damage, and posing a direct threat to my personal safety. The incident was traumatic and could have resulted in serious injury or worse. Despite multiple communications with Samsung, their response has been grossly inadequate. They have failed to: -Acknowledge the life-threatening nature of the incident -Provide a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of the explosion -Offer any support for data recovery, medical evaluation, or emotional trauma -Reimburse or assist with property damage, instead placing an unreasonable burden of documentation on me -Provide a loaner device during the investigation period I am seeking the CPSCs guidance and support in addressing this matter and ensuring that appropriate safety measures are taken to protect other consumers. I am prepared to provide photos, documentation, and any other evidence required to support your investigation. Thank you for your attention to this urgent safety issue. I look forward to your response and direction.
